Building the community network for family support
Our Vision
West Texas Community Network (WTXCN) is a community-driven initiative dedicated to strengthening families and communities across the Permian Basin and Concho Valley. We bring together local organizations, leaders, and residents to align efforts around family wellbeing and early, local support.
PURPOSE
Our mission is simple and urgent: to coordinate a self-governing, community-rooted network that strengthens families upstream and delivers responsive care when crises occur—without outsourcing compassion to distant systems.
APPROACH
- Community Alliances: Convene local coalitions—schools, courts, health, faith, and nonprofits—to weave together formal and informal supports.
- Capacity Building: Recruit, train, and resource local providers and volunteers; emphasize rural practicality, peer supports, and mentorship.
- Values in Practice: Local decision making, voluntary commitments, and respect for families; design light on bureaucracy and heavy on relationships.
Our Region
We serve communities across West Texas, including the Permian Basin and Concho Valley. Our focus is on rural and smalltown collaboration—building sustainable, relational systems that reflect the character and strength of our region.
